Retailers, Moms, Pet Peeves and Doing Something Good

Today the NRF (National Retail Federation) reported that Mother’s Day spending is expected to reach $16.3 Billion with the average person expected to spend $140.73 on gifts, up from $126.90 in 2010. That’s good news for retailers and moms alike.  Electronics like smart phones, cameras and tablets are among the hottest items right alongside more traditional gifts of jewelry, clothing, accessories, flowers and gift cards.  Lawrence is helping retailers gear up for Mother’s Day with solutions that range from
brand communication to space division, display & signage and retail merchandising.  Lawrence’s In-Queue Merchandising solution merges design with functionality helping convert wait time into extended shopping time and transforming ‘dead’ queuing space into valuable added retail space.  With the increase in expected retail traffic, retailers need to make sure their best selling items are promoted and placed where shoppers can readily see and access them as well as checkout easily and efficiently.  It’s all about customer service.

And speaking of customer service – we’d like to ask you to take a quick (90 sec) survey on “Queueing” or in other words, waiting in line.  It’s something none of us like to do but live with every day.  We’d love to have your input and for each response we get through May 31, Lawrence, a Tensator Group Company will donate $1 to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Awareness Foundation.  Make good use of your time by letting us know your pet peeves about standing in line – while supporting a great cause.  Happy Mother’s Day and happy shopping!  Take the survey now http://conta.cc/i8GrXl.
