Oswestry Hospital Employs Tensator Virtual Assistant To Greet Visitors

As part of a wider development, The Robert Jones and Agnes Hunt Orthopaedic Hospital NHS Foundation Trust (RJAH) has installed a state-of-the-art Virtual Assistant to enhance the experience of patients and visitors passing through its new £2.7 million reception area. The technology, developed by Tensator – a specialist in digital signage and queue management, provides valuable information on facilities and appointment check-in procedures.

The Tensator Virtual Assistant, is one way of improving visitor flow through the high technology reception area; speeding up check-in and enhancing patient satisfaction. Patients are guided through appointment check-in with information on how to use the hospital’s new self check-in kiosks, with customer ambassadors also on hand to assist patients. The new entrance also includes shops and a café, staffed by hospital volunteers.

By relaying a continuous stream of valuable information, the digital signage technology will enhance the overall delivery of high standards of orthopaedic and related care.
