It’s dubbed the coolest thing to do in the desert, so it’s essential that queues at Ski Dubai are managed effectively so skiers and snowboarders are not left waiting to hit the slopes. Aimed at young and old, novice or expert, Ski Dubai is the first indoor ski resort in the Middle East and offers a spectacular setting to enjoy skiing, snowboarding and tobogganing, or just playing in the snow.

So keen is the management team at Ski Dubai to offer the best customer service possible to visitors that it asked leading queue management specialists Tensator to develop a range of customised products that would make the whole experience even better. Tensator is delighted to announce that it has designed customised wooden posts, using classic post top-heads with stylish wood inlay bases, matching the wood used to create the structure of the school skiing area. The posts also utilise poly hemp ropes with chrome ends, combining maximum durability with a smart look and feel.

Ski Dubai has revealed that the waiting times have been reduced by up to 20 per cent thanks to the installation of the posts in the equipment rental area. Joanne Turner, Tensator’s hospitality specialist and head of marketing, commented: “We are delighted to have been able to help Ski Dubai to provide a first-class service to its customers and are pleased that waiting times have been cut. Managing queues is crucial so that the whole experience leaves people with a great impression of this fantastic venue.” Although the posts are not a new innovation, they benefit from Tensator’s experience and know-how in developing high-quality, effective and durable products that fulfil a client’s requirements. Tensator was chosen by Ski Dubai and its procurement consultant, Parker Company. Tensator has also provided a range of customised products to Atlantis, The Palm, a £1bn ‘mega-hotel’ that has been built on reclaimed land just off the Dubai mainland.
