British no longer willing to queue

manual call forward queuing

This week the Telegraph reported that “two fifths of us refuse to queue for longer than two minutes and 51 per cent of shoppers refuse to enter a store if they spy a queue”.

These research findings, complied by a survey undertaken for Barclays and Barclaycard, could be seen as bad news for retailers as shoppers become impatient in the queue and look for other ways to shop, the internet being a popular choice. However, this doesn’t have to be negative, retailers should be in competition with one another trying to deliver the best customer service possible, looking into ways to reduce queue times and enhance the customer waiting experience. Matching resources to demand, reducing service times and seeking to reduce the number of walk-aways experienced to eliminate lost sales.

Tensator can help retailers do just this and more, providing innovate products that are ‘leading the customer journey’. To find out more about how Tensator’s queue management solutions systems can make and save you money, call Tensator today on +44 (0) 1908 684600.
