Tensator Group, the original name in queue management, has been acquired from Rcapital by the QueueTech Group, bringing the business back under the leadership of its founder, Jez Williman.
A pioneer of the retractable webbing barrier, Tensator serves customers in more than 150 countries. The acquisition brings together that global heritage with QueueTech’s technology and a long-term commitment to the business.
Tensator will continue as the premium brand trusted by airports, retailers, banks and venues worldwide. Together, Tensator and QueueTech will combine proven queue management infrastructure with connected technology, live data and artificial intelligence, giving operators a clearer understanding of their queues, customer experience and operational performance.
Jez Williman, founder of Tensator, said:
“Building Tensator took a small team, a big idea and a lot of belief. I never stopped caring about it, even after I sold it, so bringing it home is deeply personal.
“Tensator’s strength has always been its people, its engineering and the trust of its customers. I’m proud of what we built, grateful to those who have carried it forward, and looking forward to working with the team on what comes next.
“We built this business to solve a simple problem: improve the waiting experience. Today, that ambition hasn’t changed, but the technology has.
“This is the original, and it deserves to lead again. With QueueTech, we’re bringing together Tensator’s proven engineering with live data and artificial intelligence. The queue stops being just a line on the floor and becomes a source of intelligence for the whole operation.
“The original is back, and it’s only just getting started.”
Customers, partners and suppliers can expect continuity of service, with a sharper focus on innovation in the months ahead.
