Tensator’s range for GITEX points to future of customer service

MILTON KEYNES, UK, 4 October 2013 – Tensator Group, the world’s leading queue management and customer journey specialist, will return to the GITEX Technology Week 2013 with a stand that showcases a new era in consumer behaviour.

Exhibiting at the show at the Dubai World Trade Centre from 20 to 24 October, Tensator’s stand (Hall 2, A2-8) will display several products that are designed to reflect customers’ increasing autonomy and desire for self-service and efficiency.

These will include the Virtual Assistant Ultra, a next generation digital signage solution that projects the image of a real-life customer service assistant, able to give people product information, directions or warnings.

The Ultra model has the smallest footprint in the range at 50cm by 50cm, includes a Bose speaker system and is completely customisable for any installation. It has already proved popular in the aviation, retail and leisure sectors, thanks to its ability to literally bring a message to life.

The version exhibited at the show will also include a Bluetooth feature that will send promotional information to the phones of visitors walking past.

Also on show will be the Multi-Service Machine (MSM), a self-service kiosk designed to provide businesses with cost savings, enhanced performance, increased sales and heightened brand promotions.

The units can be used anywhere that simple, low cost, repetitive payment transactions are made. Typical applications include selling tickets, cards, vouchers and mobile phone top-ups, paying invoices and weighing letters and parcels.

With the ability to be connected to a company’s billing and/or CRM system the interface can be personalised to each customer; delivering specific promotional messages and service information. When combined with a performance manager such as Tensator’s Business Analyzer, upsell opportunities are also possible.

Also, unveiled for the first time exclusively at the show, Tensator will be exhibiting its new main and counter displays for the company’s virtual queue management systems (VQMS).

The Inline VQMS range allows customers to take a ticket and browse or relax until the next operator is available, rather than waiting in a line. They are then called forward by the main display or Corporate TV screen. The system links to a software package that allows businesses to monitor customer flow, behaviour and trends in real time, to further optimise the customer journey.

The new Tensator displays allow the clear and bright LED screen with the capacity to display Arabic fonts, and for the

information be read more easily to avoid any potential customer confusion.

CEO of Tensator Group Alan McPherson believes that the range of products on display is a clear example of the company adapting early to changing customer tastes:

“As a leading innovator, Tensator is a specialist in spotting even slight changes in behaviour. The range of products that we are exhibiting at GITEX exemplifies the increased autonomy that people want from retailers and businesses.

“Customers no longer want to wait in long queues for even small tasks or services, and innovative products like ours have negated this. They give people the increased amount of control and efficiency that they now expect and demand.

“GITEX is one of the world’s foremost technology events and we are very pleased to be returning, after enjoying a fantastic response at last year’s exhibition.”
